We offer two rooms in our recently renovated and redecorated Dordogne house right on the Vezelay pilgrimage route of St Jacques de Compostelle (Santiago de Compostela). We cater especially to those on pilgrimage, but if visiting on holiday or searching for a property of your own, feel free to check with us for availability.
Our home is located in the quaint French village of La Coquille, conveniently midpoint between Limoges and Perigueux on the N21. The town is a full-service rural town... not a hamlet. Restaurants, cafe/PMU, groceries, florist, gasoline, bank, antique store, mediathèque with Internet, post office, and train station are within walking distance to meet your needs. The hiking and biking is spectacular here... great fishing too! Bring your camera and a good sense of adventure.
We know you'll love the charm and quiet of this truly unspoiled part of France. With the town church just in front of you and the open air market on Thursday morning, how much more "typically French" could you dream of?
La Coquille's church square and the Thursday market. The route of the St Jacques pilgrimage.
